1. Description of Services

Glass City Quotes (“Glass City Quotes,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a residential contractor quote-comparison and introduction service for homeowners in Toledo and Northwest Ohio.

We collect project information, contact independent contractors to request estimates, and organize the responses into a side-by-side comparison. Where sufficient information is available, we also provide a shortlist of contractors selected based on factors such as project fit, estimate completeness, availability, and available qualification information.

Glass City Quotes is not a construction contractor. We do not perform, direct, or supervise construction work and do not guarantee any contractor’s workmanship, pricing, availability, qualifications, or performance.

Contractors are independent third parties and are not our employees, agents, partners, or joint venturers. Customers are responsible for evaluating contractors, selecting a contractor, and entering into any construction agreement. Any construction contract is between the customer and the selected contractor, not Glass City Quotes.

2. Service Fees and Payment

Our service fees are based on the anticipated scope and complexity of the project:

The appropriate service tier will be confirmed with the customer in writing before payment is due. If the project’s scope or anticipated budget changes materially, we will obtain the customer’s written agreement before changing the service fee.

The service fee covers our quote-sourcing, comparison, and contractor-introduction services. It does not include the cost of construction, inspections, permits, materials, or other charges imposed by a contractor or third party.

No success fee or percentage-based commission is charged to the customer. Glass City Quotes will not charge an additional fee based on the value of a construction contract or whether a customer ultimately hires a contractor.

No payment is collected through the initial intake form. We will confirm the service tier, fee, and applicable terms in writing before requesting payment.

3. Service Delivery Guarantee

Our target delivery period is two business days after we confirm in writing that the customer’s intake information is complete, the project is eligible for our service, and all required payment or authorization steps have been completed.

We will confirm in writing the number of contractor estimates included in the service for the customer’s project.

If we fail to deliver the minimum number of qualifying contractor estimates expressly promised in that confirmation within the stated delivery period, the customer will not be charged for the service or, if payment has already been collected, will receive a full refund of the service fee.

A qualifying estimate must be a project-specific written estimate or written pricing response from an independent contractor. An unanswered request, a contractor’s refusal to bid, or a general advertising price does not qualify as an estimate.

Any project-specific limitations on the estimate count or delivery period will be disclosed to the customer in writing before payment.

Refunds owed under this guarantee will be initiated within ten business days after the customer’s eligibility for the refund is confirmed, subject to applicable law and payment processor requirements.

4. Estimates and Contractor Selection

Contractor estimates provided through Glass City Quotes are preliminary estimates or pricing responses, not necessarily binding offers or final construction prices.

Final pricing, scope of work, materials, scheduling, warranties, and other construction terms are determined by the contractor and may change following an on-site inspection, discovery of concealed conditions, changes in project scope, or other circumstances.

We organize and compare the information supplied by contractors but do not independently inspect the property or guarantee that estimates are complete, technically accurate, or directly comparable. Where information is missing or estimates differ materially in scope, we may identify those limitations in the comparison.

Customers should review the final written proposal and construction agreement directly with the selected contractor before authorizing work.

We do not guarantee that any contractor will offer the lowest price or that any estimate will remain available for a particular period.

5. Contractor Independence and Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete project information, notifying us of material changes to the requested work, and reviewing contractor estimates and proposals carefully.

Before hiring a contractor, customers should independently confirm applicable licensing, insurance, references, warranties, permits, payment terms, project scope, materials, and completion timelines.

Where we state that a credential or qualification has been verified, we will describe that verification accurately. We do not represent that every contractor has undergone an independent inspection, comprehensive background check, or exhaustive qualification review unless expressly stated in writing.

Customers make the final contractor selection and are responsible for entering into and managing their construction agreement.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

Customers may request cancellation by contacting us at the email address listed in Section 12.

If cancellation is requested before we begin substantive quote-sourcing work, we will refund any service fee already paid, less any amount that may lawfully be retained and that was clearly disclosed and agreed to in advance.

Once substantive quote-sourcing work has begun, refunds will be handled in accordance with the written cancellation terms disclosed to the customer before payment, applicable law, and the Service Delivery Guarantee in Section 3.

Nothing in these Terms limits any cancellation, refund, or other right that cannot lawfully be waived.

We will not retain a fee where doing so would violate the terms of an applicable refund guarantee or mandatory legal requirements.

7. Referral Compensation and Conflicts of Interest

Glass City Quotes does not charge customers a success fee or commission based on the value of a construction contract.

If we receive referral fees, marketing payments, or other compensation from a contractor, we will disclose the material financial relationship to the customer before presenting that contractor as a recommendation.

We will not knowingly represent a paid placement as an independent ranking or recommendation. Any material financial relationship that could reasonably affect a customer’s assessment of a contractor will be disclosed before the customer is asked to make a hiring decision.

8. Insurance-Related Projects

Glass City Quotes may compare contractor estimates for repairs or replacements that a customer intends to fund, in whole or in part, through an insurance claim.

Our service is limited to obtaining, organizing, and comparing contractor estimates. We do not act as a public insurance adjuster, represent customers in insurance claims, negotiate claim settlements with insurers, or advise customers on the amount an insurer should pay.

Customers are responsible for communicating with their insurers and obtaining any required approvals. Contractors remain responsible for their own estimates and construction proposals.

9. Privacy and Use of Customer Information

We collect project and contact information necessary to provide our services.

We may share relevant project details with prospective contractors to obtain estimates. Before sharing a customer’s name, telephone number, email address, property address, or other information that identifies the customer or property, we will obtain the customer’s authorization, except where disclosure is otherwise lawfully permitted.

We do not sell customers’ telephone numbers.

We use customer information for service delivery, customer communications, recordkeeping, and other purposes disclosed in our Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy describes our information-handling practices, retention practices, and applicable customer privacy choices.

Customers should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive personal information through our intake form.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Glass City Quotes will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the use of our service.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to our quote-comparison service will not exceed the service fee paid or payable to Glass City Quotes for the specific project giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not exclude or limit liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including any liability that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.

Nothing in these Terms relieves Glass City Quotes of responsibility for its own obligations or representations under applicable law.

Glass City Quotes is not responsible for a contractor’s construction work, workmanship, delays, pricing decisions, omissions, breach of contract, or failure to perform. This provision does not limit any claim arising from Glass City Quotes’ own conduct to the extent such a claim is legally available.

11. Complaints, Disputes, and Governing Law

Customers are encouraged to contact Glass City Quotes first to describe any concern regarding our service so that we have a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve it.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Any dispute will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction as permitted by applicable law. Nothing in this section limits a customer’s right to pursue a claim or remedy that cannot lawfully be restricted.

12. Electronic Communications and Contact Information

By providing contact information and using our service, customers authorize us to communicate with them regarding their project, service status, estimates, payment, and customer support, subject to applicable law and any additional consent required for particular communications.

Electronic acceptance of these Terms may constitute acceptance of the agreement where legally valid. We may retain records of the version of the Terms accepted and the date of acceptance.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will identify their effective date and will be made available to customers.

Changes will not retroactively alter the agreed service fee or materially change the terms of an existing paid service without the customer’s agreement, except where a change is required by law.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the applicable written service confirmation and any applicable Privacy Policy, constitute the agreement between the customer and Glass City Quotes concerning the quote-comparison service, subject to any additional written terms expressly agreed to by both parties.

If a project-specific written service confirmation conflicts with these Terms concerning the service tier, fee, estimate count, or delivery period, the specific written confirmation will control for that project.
